Creative Soul Retreat: An Immersion into Writing, Mindfulness, & Nature
SEPTEMBER 27 - 29
The Creative Soul Retreat is the perfect way for any woman to discover a deeper, more confident way of being and expressing herself. It’s a transformational retreat co-facilitated by best-selling Hay House author, Sarah McLean.
Some people find writing and journaling to be spiritual practices that expand their self-awareness and lead to an experience of profound peace. The same can be true of the practices of yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and forest bathing. They can transform you, heart and soul. This retreat will help you:
· Experience deep meditation practices that anyone can do even those with a busy mind
· Explore powerful mindful walking, listening, and eating practices
· Spontaneously express your creative soul with journaling and writing prompts
· Transcend your inner critic and trust what wants to be written
· Express yourself and be heard without judgment and fall in love with your beautiful life
· Learn more about being present, tapping into your intuition and attuning to your subtle senses
· Rediscover the nature-lover in you with Forest Bathing
In this retreat you’ll connect to your true nature, commune with your creative soul, and find the confidence to express yourself and who you really are. It’s an opportunity to unplug to find deep rest and your lightness of being, and you’ll even have time for a spa treatment or two!
On Friday, gather and connect at a welcome reception. Meet the other retreat guests and get a taste of the power of mindfulness, meditation, and writing practices with Sarah McLean.
Enjoy dinner in the restaurant on your own or with newfound friends.
On Saturday, start your day with a gentle yoga followed by a guided morning meditation with Sarah. After a nourishing breakfast, you’ll journey into nature walking on trails from the forest to beach. You’ll then be guided and coached into provocative writing exercises.
After lunch, you’ll have time to relax, write on your own, enjoy a luxurious spa treatment, play golf, or get some sun by the pool. Later in the afternoon, we’ll gather for a breath and meditation session, then we’ll write and share our insights.
We’ll then go to the private dining room at Salishan to share a specially prepared dinner for the retreat.
On Sunday morning, you’ll have the opportunity to explore meditation more deeply with Sarah. You’ll have a nourishing breakfast, then, you will be guided into a forest bathing experience in a nearby forest.
Forest bathing is a Japanese healing practice, similar to a walking meditation. When you step into the welcoming embrace of Salishan’s forest, you will be nourished and surrounded by the wisdom of nature. Often times cathartic, this experience can allow for the gentlest unraveling of life’s challenges. It only requires an open heart, and sturdy walking shoes. Please wear layers for warmth.
After the forest bathing experience, we’ll meet again to write, share, and identify next steps to sustaining your creativity and mindfulness practices. The retreat ends at noon.
WHO IS WELCOME
Women with any level of meditation and/or writing experience are welcome. You don’t have to be especially artistic or creative, nor do you need an established meditation practice to attend. You simply need courage and a desire to be inspired, write, and cultivate more self-confidence and self-awareness.

Salishan has recently changed ownership and the new management has made exciting changes and breathed new life into the resort... This is a wonderful destination resort for people looking for a peaceful retreat and a classic Pacific Northwest experience. At the same time, there is enough action going on that it’s a great resort for families.Leah Deangelis (The Modern Travelers)
Lovely hotel situated in a nicely landscaped environment. Room was comfortable and clean; contained a dining table with chairs near a welcoming fireplace.2hi2cu (TripAdvisor)
We had a wonderful weekend stay on this beautiful property! The staff was very helpful, knowledable and unpretentious. We were able to relax and wander the property and take advantage of a few of the many activities.Fishmanr5 (TripAdvisor)
Really great location. My family liked being tucked back in the forest. My son loved the pool and getting to hunt for glass floats!bad_oliver (TripAdvisor)
Absolutely one of the most beautiful resorts in the Pacific Northwest. First class accommodations and activities galore. If I could give them six stars I would. Probably one of the best customer experiences we have had.125dthomas (TripAdvisor)
The Spa at Salishan was easily one of the most beautiful spas I’ve been to…The massage was epic, but so was just wandering around the spa and admiring its beauty.Ariel Lynn (aeriallynn.com)
