Creating the New Story of Our Lives - Her Soul Story
FEBRUary 8 - 10
This retreat, presented by Nicole Curtin & Tayne Griffin of Her Soul Story, will focus on habit activators, mindfulness exercises, identifying ways to live authentically in our new stories, and the best ways we have to pull ourselves back into integrity when we feel ourselves slipping back into old ways of living. We will address boundaries and courageous conversations with those in our life that might not support our new story. We will look at the company we keep and how to make sure our tribe aligns with our true selves.
Evening Registration and Welcome Reception - 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
All guests will receive a Her Soul Story Workbook to utilize throughout their experience. This workbook will have all exercises covered in sessions as well as journal pages. All guests will also receive a Her Soul Story tote bag and pen for easy use and transportation of materials.
Introductions and Presentation:
What Story Have You Being Saying About Yourself That is Untrue? - Tayne Griffin
We carry “stories” about ourselves from the time we are very young. For example, my daughter who is 9 says she is “bad” at reading. When she was doing her school testing at the end of last year she was the last one finished and she broke down in tears several times during the testing process because she was so stressed. When the results arrived in the mail, she was visibly nervous. She was actually worried she wouldn’t graduate into the 4th grade. We opened the results and she tested “above average,” and as a side note, well above average. The story she tells herself that she is bad at reading is completely untrue but because she chooses to believe it, reading occurs like a struggle. As adults, we carry stories like this about ourselves too. In this evening gathering we will identify those stories and decide which ones we are ready to let go of over the course of the weekend.
Homework: Enjoy dinner with a partner(s) and help each other identify 1-3 stories you have been living in that are untrue.
Letting Go of The Stories Than No Longer Serve Us (Breakfast Together) Workshop - 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Identifying Your 3 Core Values: Here we uncover the difference between core values, our truest selves, from the values we think we “should” live into. We eliminate those we feel we “need” to embrace and tap into what truly lights us up.
Free Time & Lunch - 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Creating Your New Story - 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Here we look at the language we use about ourselves and rewrite the things we say about who we are and what we are up to creating in our own lives and out in the world. We will create our new “brand” using the core values we have uncovered in the earlier exercises.
Yoga Nidra Experience facilitated by Nicole Curtin (Optional) - 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Living Fully in Your New Story - 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
This is the section where we create and implement the tools that will remind us, on a daily basis, of our new life statement and what we are committed to. We will also focus on the boundaries we must have in place for ourselves and how we are willing to be heard and treated by others.
Building Your Tribe to Match Your New Story
When we start living inside our own truth there is a chance we might realize the people we are spending most of our time with are not completely inline with us anymore. We will discuss how to handle these situations with grace and compassion and also talk about the best ways to build a tribe that knows you and supports you as the truest version of yourself.

Salishan has recently changed ownership and the new management has made exciting changes and breathed new life into the resort... This is a wonderful destination resort for people looking for a peaceful retreat and a classic Pacific Northwest experience. At the same time, there is enough action going on that it’s a great resort for families.Leah Deangelis (The Modern Travelers)

Really great location. My family liked being tucked back in the forest. My son loved the pool and getting to hunt for glass floats!bad_oliver (TripAdvisor)
Absolutely one of the most beautiful resorts in the Pacific Northwest. First class accommodations and activities galore. If I could give them six stars I would. Probably one of the best customer experiences we have had.125dthomas (TripAdvisor)
The Spa at Salishan was easily one of the most beautiful spas I’ve been to…The massage was epic, but so was just wandering around the spa and admiring its beauty.Ariel Lynn (aeriallynn.com)
