Salishan Coastal Lodge is following the latest guidance from the CDC, as well as state (Oregon Health Authority) and local (Lincoln County) health authorities, to ensure the health and safety of our guests. We are committed to doing everything we can to ensure a safe and comfortable environment during your stay here on the Oregon Coast. You will see we have implemented extensive cleaning protocols, amended our dining and enhanced our beautiful surroundings to ensure comfortable physical distancing. Where possible, our protocols not only meet but exceed CDC guidelines. Read more about what you can expect below.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
What steps are you taking at Salishan to ensure guest safety?
The health and safety of our guests is always our number one priority. Before reopening Salishan in June, we reviewed all of our operating procedures and protocols to ensure the health and safety of our guests and employees. When you visit, you'll find curbside check-ins and touchless arrivals, as well as new cleaning protocols for guest rooms, common areas and high-touch surfaces. You’ll also see that we’ve added new options for dining, including two outdoor patios.
Behind the scenes, we screen employees upon arrival to work. Our team members wear face masks, along with gloves or other personal protective equipment, when appropriate. All of our public areas are cleaned and disinfected with increased frequency, with priority given to the high-traffic and high-touch areas.
Guest rooms also are cleaned and disinfected prior to guest arrival. Additional cleaning during your stay is optional and upon request only.
Can you provide details on your cleaning protocol for guest rooms?
Before you visit, you can have confidence knowing that your room has been cleaned and disinfected using the EPA-approved cleaning and disinfectant products from EcoLab that meet CDC requirements. Particular attention has been paid to cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the room, including high touch surfaces in the room. Linens, towels and laundry also have been washed in accordance with CDC guidelines. We have removed extra, non-essential items to reduce the number of high touch surfaces in the room, including decorative throw pillows and magazines.
DURING YOUR STAY
What should I expect when I check-in?
First of all, while we’ve enhanced our cleaning procedures to provide as sterile an environment as possible, our staff is as welcoming and friendly as before when you first arrive at Salishan. You will have the option of curbside check-in with touchless arrival or you can come to the front desk in the lobby.
We’ve added a few things for your safety in our lobby: a plexiglass partition at the front desk, two hand sanitizing stations in the lobby and reminders to remain six feet apart for proper physical distancing. We’re also encouraging one-way pedestrian flow between the entrances and exits and regular cleaning of high-touch surfaces.
What should I expect from housekeeping during my stay?
Following guidance from Lincoln County and best practices throughout the lodging and hospitality industry, housekeeping will not enter your room. Please contact the front desk with any requests or issues. We are more than happy to provide extra towels, linens, etc.
What is your cleaning protocol for common areas?
All common areas will be cleaned multiple times throughout the day. Frequent contact and high-touch surfaces will be cleaned regularly.
What are my dining options during my stay?
We are taking extra precautions with our dining services and you’ll see we’ve implemented new dining options and procedures. All menus are now digital. While we’ve removed seating to ensure at least six feet physical distancing, we’ve added new outdoor seating around the property, including two outdoor patios. Our servers will be wearing masks, gloves and other protective gear and will minimize contact as much as possible.
For all day dining, we will offer a healthy, grab-and-go menu in Provisions Market, available Sunday - Thursday from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Guests can dine outside, in their rooms or take food to-go.
Dinner is available in The Attic Bar & Lounge from Sunday – Thursday 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm and Friday and Saturday 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Healthy, locally-inspired full menu is served with indoor and outdoor seating available. Food also can be taken to go.
Dinner is also available at The Bay House at Salishan, Wednesday - Sunday evenings beginning at 5:00 pm. Reservations are recommended. Please contact The Bay House at 541-996-3222 to reserve your dining experience.
Salishan Marketplace, located across from Salishan Spa also has additional dining options for guests to enjoy.
Will in-room dining be available?
Guest Room Food Delivery is available for guests. Food arrives in sealed, to-go packaging and can be enjoyed in your room or in any one of our outdoor dining areas.
Is there anything more guests can do to stay safe while staying at Salishan?
For your health and safety, we recommend guests continue:
- To wash your hands frequently with warm soapy water for at least 20 seconds. Optionally, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content.
- Avoid touching your face
- Work to maintain the CDC recommended six feet social distance from those your not traveling with
- Visitors are required to wear a mask at all times when indoor public spaces
- Stay home and do not travel if you are sick
But, most of all, enjoy the beautiful nature around the property.
Is the Aerial Park open? Are there any changes to the policies?
The Aerial Park is open and advance reservations are required, click here to book. Aerial Park is open to the public. You may encounter others climbing at the same time. However, physical distancing and climbing gloves are required. You can bring your own gloves or purchase them for your adventure.
Is The Spa at Salishan open and have there been any changes to the spa services?
The Spa is open Wednesday - Sunday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Please view our current safety procedures here. Advanced reservations are required and all services are available including facials and hair/nail salon services. To book, please call the spa directly: 541-764-4300.
Is the pool and fitness center open?
Our indoor pool and fitness center are open and operating at a limited capacity.
Is the tennis center open?
The tennis center is open.
Is the golf course open and have there been any changes?

BEHIND THE SCENES
What are you doing to protect your employees?
Any team member who is sick will stay home. Prior to each shift, employees will have their temperature checked and answer a short questionnaire. All employees will wear masks and depending on their responsibilities, they may also wear gloves or other PPE.

Our first trip to the Oregon Coast was fabulous! Love the Salishan Resort! The staff was gracious and kind. Great golfing, tennis, hiking, whale and seal watching. The scenery on the coast and beaches were beautiful (better than California and Cabo). The food was excellent and comes from local farms in Oregon. A must try vacation!
